Instructional Systems Designer – Remote

Location: Remote – work from anywhere

Salary: Approximately $55,000 – $70,000 (Determined based on experience) 

Summary: Quality Analytics Associates (QAA) is accepting resumes for qualified instructional systems designers. Depending on the opportunity, the contract could be one year to five years in length. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and development of engaging, interactive and instructionally sound online course materials for eLearning, instructor-led, and blended instruction. 
  • Research and produce clear documentation, training, and other instructional materials (websites, multimedia, and online tutorials) to support the use of technology in teaching & learning, learning theory, accessibility & usability, and curriculum development. 
  • Use applications to develop custom products to meet client needs. 
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders and team members to support the established quality assurance process for instructional materials. 
  • Remain current on emerging technologies that have potential value for learning materials through team communication, presentations, virtual training sessions, conferences, and publications. 
  • Integrate Section 508 (i.e., closed captioning, transcript, etc.) standards in learning materials as necessary. 
  • Build and maintain positive, effective working relationships with clients. 
  • Manage timeline and deliverables to meet deadlines and complete projects. 
  • Engage as assigned or directed in other duties, special projects and professional development initiatives individually or with colleagues.  
  • Developed communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal) with the demonstrated ability to provide excellent service and work effectively with diverse constituencies. 
  • Collaborative mindset with an innate curiosity for learning and ability to embrace change.  
  • Knowledge of instructional design and of pedagogical approaches, practices, and tools. 
  • Experience with course development using learning principles. 
  • Experience integrating open educational resources and/or open pedagogies into course design. 
  • Experience with peer-review processes for evaluating learning materials. 
  • Experience using content management systems and other development tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, Adobe Pro, etc.).  
  • Experience developing products for learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard, Moodle, or Saba, etc.)

Knowledge/Skills/Experience:

  • An instructional design certificate or Instructional Design / Educational Technology BA/BS degree or higher  
  • Will consider all experience levels (entry and above)
