Instructional Technologist – Remote

Location: Remote – work from anywhere

Salary: Approximately $60,000 – $67,000 (Determined based on experience)

Summary: Quality Analytics Associates (QAA) is accepting resumes for qualified instructional technologists. Depending on the opportunity, the contract could be one year to five years in length. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the design and development of engaging, interactive and instructionally sound materials for eLearning, instructor-led, and blended instruction.
  • Use applications such as desktop content authoring tools, document creation applications, audio/video/media creation and/or editing, and presentation tools to develop custom products to meet client needs.
  • Use best practices for SCORM and/or xAPI to prepare products for learning management systems.
  • Research and recommend current and/or new emerging technologies that have potential value for learning materials.
  • Integrate Section 508 (i.e., closed captioning, transcript, etc.) standards in learning materials as necessary.
  • Manage timeline and deliverables to meet deadlines and complete projects.
  • Engage as assigned or directed in other duties, special projects and professional development initiatives.
  • Highly developed communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal) with the demonstrated ability to provide excellent service and work effectively with diverse constituencies.
  • Knowledge and application of best practices for the effective use of a range of digital tools to support learning.
  • Collaborative mindset with an innate curiosity for learning and ability to embrace change.
  • Knowledge of instructional design and of pedagogical approaches, practices, and tools.
  • Experience with course development using learning principles.
  • Experience integrating open educational resources and/or open pedagogies into course design.
  • Experience with peer-review processes for evaluating products.
  • Experience using content management systems and other development tools (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, Adobe Pro, etc.).
  • Experience developing products for and using learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard, Moodle, or Saba, etc.).

Preferred Knowledge and Experience:  

  • Will consider all experience levels (entry and above)
  • Technical Certificate or Associates and/or years’ experience in accordance with the following.
